Lateral Mobile Art Storage Racking

Lateral Mobile Art Storage Racking is installed in numerous museums and archives around the world. These systems incorporate double-sided mesh frames fitted to mobile carriages.

The principle is the same as a mobile shelving system, with bases that allow you do do away with aisles until they are needed and maximise your floor space. Unlike a pull-out art storage solution no frame or columns are required and only a front gangway is needed for access,

Pull Out Art Storage Racking

Pull-out picture racking comes in two varieties, top supported and bottom supported. Both are designed to fit larger storage spaces and can be used to store hanging items.

This are suitable for even the heaviest items, and we have seen everything from rare paintings to bicyles, and even animal heads hung from these systems.

The mesh frame is constructed from heavy gauge wire welded to both faces of a steel frame to give maximum square metre storage space to both sides.

Mesh Panels convert any room instantly into an art storage area. Like pull out and lateral art storage solutions the mesh frame is constructed from heavy gauge wire welded to both faces of a steel frame.

Vertical Art Storage

If you don’t have the wall space for a mesh system or a mobile solution but want to save space then you may need a vertical storage system. As the name suggests, these solutions allow you to store your valuable artworks vertically. 

In simple terms, these systems take standard shelving and divide it into cells then divide the shelves with bars. This allows you to divide up your items by size, and prop up your artworks vertically without the need to pile them together. 

Art Storage Drawers

Art Storage Drawers (we called them plan chests) allow you to store artworks away from light and contaminants.  

The specially designed drawer units are huge, with drawers designed especially for the purpose, with items laid flat with no need to fold or crease them.

The specialist drawers also have no internal fixings within them, so there is no risk of rubbing, or snagging items while they are being laid inside or removed for display.
