Rackline’s Museum Cabinets are designed to keep your valuable inventory safe. Double skin, steel structure combines with clever design to keep your inventory secure, safe from external contamination and other factors.

What are Museum Cabinets?

Museum Cabinets are specially designed steel cabinets, designed to hold precious artifacts and protect them from external environmental damage. Rackline’s Museum Cabinets are designed with features to help control temperature, humidity and light exposure. They also come equipped with features that protect items from dust, pests and oxidation. Museum cabinets are found in any collections area where environmental safeguards are required.

Who uses Museum Cabinets?

Our Museum Cabinets are used by a cross section of museums and galleries to keep their valuable artifacts safe. they are also used within education and other sectors where items needs to kept safe, but remain visible and accessible.

Our Museum Cabinets are used in organisations including: Manchester Museum and V&A.

Museum Cabinet Specifications

  • Rackline’s range of Museum Cabinets are constructed from double skin welded Steel.
  • Cabinets are fitted with steel doors with a height full piano hinge and dust seals to the entire door closure.
  • Doors are available with or without glass viewing panels. The Glass panels also be UV protective as required.
  • The cabinets can be fitted with standard internals such as shelves and drawers, but can also be fitted with a central spine for the storage of trays at 2 x trays wide.
  • Colour options can be matched to your requirements.
  • There are no ‘standard’ as they are manufactured on a case by case basis, but most units are 1020mm wide x 520mm deep x 1800/2200/2400mm high.

Museum Cabinets are supplied as individual units, but designed to seamlessly connect to form rows.

 

Other Options

As with other storage solutions provided by Rackline, each clients requirements are different, with each application unique to them. We have fitted these units to our mobile bases, to provide high density solutions, we can also fit these cabinets onto pallet truck bases to allow clients to move the cabinets around using a pallet truck (see image)
